Frogheath Landscapes is delighted to be associated with the success of the award-winning renovation at Phoebe’s Shaw near Burwash. The property was awarded first prize award for Best Small Domestic Project at the LABC Sussex Region Built in Quality Awards 2008, established by Local Authority Building Control. The event was very well attended and there was stiff competition for the awards.

The awards were presented in Brighton and the owners, Mr & Mrs Petri, worked closely with their architect, building contractor and Frogheath to achieve a high level of finish. These awards give well-deserved recognition to companies and individuals within the construction industry who are committed to producing high quality work throughout Sussex.

Mrs Petri commented “Although this is a principally a building award, the dramatic changes that Frogheath brought to the shape of the land around the house and the skilful transition employed to meet the deck and veranda, which form part of the building, ‘grounds’ the house beautifully into its rural setting.

“The team at Frogheath worked very hard to develop our initial ideas into what is now a really lovely outside space, blending planting, hard landscaping and lawns into the surrounding fields, woods and views beyond, and bringing a balance between the house and land that was really important for us to achieve. We feel that this was one of the key elements which contributed to the success of the renovation and we are extremely pleased with the result.”

Frogheath was thrilled to have been involved in such a rewarding project and Stephen Moody, Frogheath’s owner, said “It is a testament to our team and our clients that we have won awards for a wide variety of our work for a number of years now, and good communication and committed staff go a very long way towards success like this”
